VP of Strategic Communications

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a seasoned and motivated VP, Strategic Communications professional to create compelling narratives and materials about our company, products, technology, and industry trends in support of the company’s growth, brand awareness, and thought leadership objectives.

As a member of our growing marketing team, this role will drive our external and internal writing and editing projects, including: public relations, executive communications, demand generation, digital content, corporate communications, brand building, social media, blogs, product information, sales enablement, and events.

This role is integral in creating the communications content that underpin our messaging and positioning.

This position requires a high level of creativity and initiative, as well as the ability to conduct research, interview senior executives, and use data-driven insights to write compelling content of various lengths and formats.

Top-notch written and verbal communications outstanding organizational skills, and high attention to detail are a must.

Candidates should be able to understand complex details across business and technology, business processes, and economic value, and communicate that complexity with simplicity and clarity across media.

A successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and demonstrate an ability to execute precisely and quickly.

They must possess an interest in enterprise software and have writing samples that showcase a range of styles covering business-related topics.

COMING IN
Collaborate with senior executive team and our PR agency to develop global communications strategies that drive visibility for Deidre Paknad and WorkBoard Regularly produce various long
– and short-form content, including blogs, op-eds, speeches/scripts/talking points, press releases, web content, emails, and social media posts.

Shape content narrative, structure, data, and information.

Deliver Creative Services to develop a visual brand for the website, collateral, events, and strategic presentations for CEO/executive keynotes and other high-profile events Review and edit content produced by other members of the marketing team.

Manage content revision and editing process with internal stakeholders.

Collaborate and brainstorm with other teams to create innovative content ideas.

YOU’LL BE SUPER SKILLED AND EFFECTIVE AT
Serve as first point of communication in providing exceptional customer experiences using ZenDesk’s live chat and email communication platforms Research, respond to, and resolve inquiries from our users –
– from those who are brand new to the WorkBoard platform to the power users Become familiar with and remain up to date around WorkBoard’s brand and internal systems in order to ensure effective communication and to support daily customer operations Work cross-functionally to diagnose, triage, and resolve customer product issues, operating as a key point of contact and communication between customers and our internal teams (e.g.

Customer Success, Engineering, Product, Sales) Proactively identify and drive attention towards opportunities for improvement to the customer experience through leveraging front-line experiences Communicate and document changes in operating procedures to ensure team understanding, retention and execution.

Serve as the expert problem solver in more complex and escalated customer interactions Remain up to date on WorkBoard’s platform and features as they are introduced and changed Provide data entry into our customer management systems, especially ZenDesk, such as through tagging tickets

WITHIN ONE MONTH YOU’LL
Have centralized all public relations and social media initiatives Assess resources required to deliver on the priorities
WITHIN THREE MONTHS YOU’LL
Have launched the priority branding initiatives Be working to a data-driven quarterly OKRs Have an extended team of resources who can accelerate implementation of acceleration initiatives

WITHIN SIX MONTHS YOU’LL
Be working to a prioritized portfolio of short-term, medium-term and long-term branding initiatives – that are analytically substantiated, fully syndicated, and fully funded Communicate to the executive, marketing, and sales teams the ROI/outcomes of the branding initiatives.
