Assembler II – TC 2548

This is a Full-time position in Clackamas, OR posted February 28, 2021.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Regular assembly pay plus $1.00 / hour TC payThis position requires the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the team coordinator function in addition to the functions of an Assembler II. This position is in addition to the team member’s primary job functions. The individual acts in a working leadership role providing immediate direction to the production team and supports Warn objectives by acting as a key resource to Operational Leadership.As an Assembly Team Coordinator, you would:1. Schedule and assign work to team members in a fast-paced work environment so as to meet all established production expectations and deadlines. Monitor progress towards company expectations and deadlines and make adjustments as required and in collaboration with Warn leadership.2. Provide initial feedback and guidance to team members which supports their growth and development and addresses ways in which team members may not be meeting the essential functions of their role as well as using good judgement to determine when to escalate concerns to Warn Leadership, Human Resources or other team leadership.3. Collaborate with Warn leadership and team members during team meetings, system reviews, safety meetings, and other forms of problem-solving discussions to further define and improve department strategies designed to meet and exceed quality and safety objectives. Participate meaningfully in Warn safety activities like R3, Safety Committees, Safety checklist/audits, team Safety projects, etc., as directed or requested. Participate meaningfully in continuous improvement initiatives as directed or requested as well as looking for process and efficiency improvements and bringing them to the attention of Warn leadership.4. Serve as a readily available role model for and mentor to other team members: responsible and efficient time management, commitment to exceeding quality and production expectations, professional and respectful communication, and safe work habits. Train team members on process and procedure as directed and provide necessary follow-up and guidance to achieve professional development objectives.5. Communicate in a professional, respectful and courteous manner with all employees, customers, vendors, visitors and others with whom we may work or interact, using available technologies. Contribute to a successful work group through positive interactions, active listening, consistent communication across teams, shifts and departments, meaningful collaborations, and the constructive exchange of ideas designed to meet or exceed the organization’s strategic goals.As an Assembler, you would:1. Perform assembly duties as assigned using standard procedures, tools, materials, machines and equipment in a fast-paced work environment while meeting all established production expectations and deadlines.2. Follow well-established guidance from specified process instructions, blueprints, and communicated instructions from other team members.3. Implement the Quality Policy and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities, including evaluating unusual vs. ideal and usual quality based on finished product sound, vibration, temperature, operation and appearance. Inspect parts and products to detect and identify potential defects, anomalies, surface quality non-conformities, and other forms of observable physical or structural product quality deficiencies using personal observations in conjunction with inspection, measuring and calibration devices.4. Utilize designated manual tools, power tools and other provided equipment to build sub-assemblies and mount components and parts to assemblies.5. Collaborate with Warn leadership and team members during team meetings, system reviews, safety meetings, and other forms of problem-solving discussions to further define and improve department strategies designed to meet and exceed quality objectives. Participate meaningfully in Warn safety activities like R3, Safety Committees, Safety checklist/audits, team Safety projects, etc., as directed or requested.6. Serve as a role model for and mentor less experienced or new assemblers on assembly process, responsible and efficient time management, commitment to exceeding quality and production expectations, professional and respectful communication, and safe work habits. Train other assemblers on process and procedure as directed and provide necessary follow-up and guidance to achieve professional development objectives.7. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned to meet team, department and organizational goals while actively demonstrating accountability and responsibility for achieving desired outcomes and measureable results. Special projects and assignments may include, but are not limited to, (a) rotating through all stations of assembly within the assigned team to provide necessary support and coverage as directed, as well as an assignment to rotate to another team as required to meet production requirements, (b) writing or updating training manuals, and/or (c) offering input during Warn selection process.8. Communicate in a professional, respectful and courteous manner with all employees, customers, vendors, visitors and others with whom we may work or interact.
