Top Job Located in Salem, OR Salary: $15/hr DOEExpress Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to be a part of a fast-paced, dynamic, fun and friendly team for a Salem area Laser and Surgery Center.

The ideal candidate must have exceptional customer service skills, computer skills, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

This full-time position serves as lead for the registration and reception area, and is four days a week (6:30am-5pm or until last patient exits the building).

The successful candidate will: Be full of energy and warm and welcoming to all patients, staff and visitors Thrive on helping people while exhibiting compassion and care in everything you do Provide exceptional customer service Excel in a fast-paced environment As a Medical Receptionist / Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient experiences by performing a wide variety of duties in support of the department, which include, but are not limited to: Reception Scheduling Registration Data entry Filing and copying Coordinating daily operations of the center, the position will be a direct support to the Business Office Manager and Center Director, responsible for managing special projects.

Exceptional computer skills and the ability to quickly master multiple computer programs required.

A clear communicator who is able to build good relationships with clinic staff, patients, and interacts with everyone in a positive and professional manner.

Someone who has the ability to build a bond with people & go the extra mile!

Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability and desire to work in a very busy, multidisciplinary setting.

Must have appropriate manner, conduct and grooming and present a professional image.

Core Functions: Greets patients and visitors in a courteous manner, directing full attention to them immediately upon their entrance to the facility, being sensitive to each patient’s needs and fears.

Checking in the patients, including assisting in filling out all required forms and insurance information so billing is completed and accurate.

Collects co-pays, co-insurance and payments on past due accounts, and utilizes credit card applications correctly.

Answering telephones, checking fax machine and distributing faxes appropriately.

Complies with HIPAA and policies and procedure in release of medical records.

Completes work assignments within appropriate time frames and assists others as time allows.

Directly supports Business Office Manager and Center Director.

Collects and compiles data, as requested, such as performance improvement activities, patient satisfaction survey responses.

Initial credentialing: Setting up new providers to the organization and gathering all information to initiate and finish credentialing process.

Re-credentialing providers: Reviewing applications, databases, and online portals to ensure that the provider information is up to date.

Maintains inventory and orders supplies as needed.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare clerical setting required Minimum of one year of credentialing experience preferred Must have good clerical skills, including typing (60 wpm) and excellent telephone etiquette and good organizational and record-keeping skills.

Knowledge of business and office machines such as: fax, telephone, computer/printer, copier; reception skills required.

This position starts at $15 per hour for entry-level experience.
